Information Architecture: Organize the information that need to presented to the user. Groundwork for product design. Some basic user research. Usability test. First Click Analysis. Create Site Structure. Controlled Vocabulary. Creating taxonomy for tagging information.
Content Writing, Information Design and Technical Communication (Information Design) : Make sure information presented as expected. Design user-friendly and meaningful content. Interview expert to generate appropriate content. Technical Writer.
Research
User Research: Understand users, understand business goal. Ethnographic and Contextual Research. Usability test and observe.
Accessibility: Make sure product is usable by any user regardless of there limitations. Section 508 guidelines. Usability tests.
Human Factors: How physical product are used. Regulatory compliance. Ergonomics.
Strategy
UX Strategy: Understand business goal and how user needs meet business goal. Lot of discovery (Gather Data and Align needs)
Content Strategy: Content should align business goals. Content guidelines. Define the voice of the content and define who users are. Content creation policy and process and posting content. Metadata strategy.
Customer Experience: User and business interaction experience. Understand difficulty, identify problem. Draw customer experience journey.
Human Centered Design:
